Purpose of survey

To verify whether the inventory information held on the drainage data management system (DDMS), previously derived from drawings, is a true record of the visible surface point assets.

What is a validation survey?

• A quick walkover survey
• Used to assess drainage data that has been derived from drawings, not previous field surveys
• Carried out in the daytime

Survey data round tripping

The drainage inventory information on the DDMS in the catchments to be surveyed will be round-tripped in accordance with the specific procedures and formats.

Reporting

A survey report will be created of the submission of the round-tripped DDMS survey data, including any original un-changed data and all the digital photographs taken during the survey
