Retention and Detention ponds are a critical asset within the Highways Authorities drainage network. These assets provide critical pollution control and important attenuation capabilities in the event of heavy or prolonged rainfall. DDC are able to offer a comprehensive survey service for these assets. HADDMS surveys are undertaken to accurately map the location of the ponds and all of their attributes such as anti-pollution devices, all vital components of a quality report detailing full condition assessment.
All survey data obtained on site is then collated and processed at DDC’s new modern offices using the latest CAD and GIS software. A complete quality report is prepared for delivery to the client along with a fully compliant ESRI SHP. File for upload to the HADDMS database.
DDC are also able to offer extensive ecological surveys on these often sensitive assets. Because of their function, location and secured perimeters, the sites offer an undisturbed environment. A DDC ecological and environmental survey can provide vital information for any remediation works that may derive from the initial HADDMS survey.
