Civil Engineering Surveying Excellence

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered up with the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES) for an Approved Development Scheme (ADS) in Geospatial Engineering. We are proud of our highly experienced surveyors and engineers and we are always looking for opportunities to support them in continuing professional development, improve their talents and skills, their potential and effectiveness.

As it is stated in the book Trusted: “Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don’t want to. If you look after your staff, they’ll look after your customers. It’s that simple”
At DDC we thrive in creating a supportive environment where the team feel encouraged both professionally and personally. We believe this helps our people to engage more with our organisational culture and it creates a productive mindset.

On 13 February 2019 we had a launching event in our office, and we celebrated the privilege of being part of this project. Katie Holt, the Development Officer of ICES joined us and had a chat with the students involved in this scheme. She held a very interesting presentation reaffirming the important role of ICES in the surveying industry.

Ioana Prigoreanu, the administrator of the DDC ADS said: “You can feel how the energy of the organization flourishes. People feel good about working here and the office is buzzing with positivity and productivity. I am a big advocate of continuing development and I am very excited for everyone who is involved in the ADS.”

The Chartership is a hallmark of quality and excellence for the profession. Carol Lewis-Han, the mentor and supervisor of ADS stated: “It is a great way of developing our talent and it benefits both the business and everyone involved. DDC has a long-time commitment in providing excellence throughout training and education. Being a member of ICES, I’ve received great support from the institution and the opportunity for great networking. I hope this scheme will benefit everyone’s career life as it has been doing for me. “

DDC would like to wish good luck to our first group of students: Nasrin, Robert, Waqar, Thomas, Evangelos and Aineas. We are confident that they will all strengthen professionally and that their hard work will be impact on their future careers and benefit DDC’s valued clients.
