New Software from DDC Shortlisted for New Civil Engineer TechFest Award

DDC Engineering is thrilled to announce that it’s been nominated for New Civil Engineer’s Festival of Innovation and Technology ‘Environmental Impact Award’ for its new innovative Drainage Information Modelling software ‘DIM’.

Taking place on September 19th 2018 at Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London, The Festival of Innovation and Technology brings together engineering influencers to celebrate the brightest minds in the industry while providing a forum to inspire and drive positive change.

DDC spotted a gap in the market to improve surveying solutions to the Highways industry, and so created the ‘DIM’ software. With a focus on providing more accurate data collection when out in the field, increasing efficiencies when collecting data and creating a true collaborative experience for clients, ‘DIM’ digitises the process to reduce unnecessary waste.

Furthermore, the ‘DIM’ software has a built in environmental damage report, which alerts clients to any damaged or unstable assets out in the field that need repairs. This immediate alert ensures a team is posted out straight away to prevent a negative environmental occurrence, such as flooding.

Lisa Whitbrook, DDC’s Managing Director, is extremely proud for the company to have been recognised for the environmental factors ‘DIM’ supports: “We’re so honoured to be considered for the Environmental Impact Award for our DIM software. To know we’re making such a big difference to the environment is really gratifying and a real testament to all the hard work spent on making ‘DIM’ the best it can be.”

The team at DDC are looking forward to attending the event and hope to not only take away the Environmental Impact Award with us, but also some valuable insight from thought leaders in our industry.

The Festival of Innovation and Technology awards ceremony will take place on the 19th of September where winners will be announced.
